My experience at The Piedmont has been less than perfect. I ran into a lot of troubles and complications when I first moved in. However, I am very grateful for the level of patience, kindness and respect that the Property Manager, Derrick has given me throughout this time. He has been nothing but helpful and quickly responds to any issues or concerns that I have within my unit or within the complex in general. He has gone out of his way multiple times to ensure that I am as comfortable as possible, considering my dilemma when I first moved in. I truly wanted to share that my overall experience at The Piedmont, since the new management has taken over at the top of the year, has truly been a great experience. I had some issues with things needing to be repaired and checked on after an isolated incident involving multiple units. Franchesca & Derrick made sure that my unit was quickly repaired and they made sure to stay on top of their communication with their third party contractors to ensure that the job was being done correctly! I truly do appreciate their overall tenacity as the new property management team. They truly are easy to work with and I can’t wait to see what other new additions or changes they bring to property.

My parents and I spent the afternoon at the leasing office completing the application process. Everyone in the office was extremely helpful with helping us find out info about pricing, touring the unit, etc. Franchesca was very kind and patient with answering all of our questions, and she was very informed about everything which was so helpful. She was able to help us complete the process before leaving the property which was such a relief. Leatha was able to give us a tour of the apartment and I am thankful to see how much she cares about the new residents. Derrick also helped us out a ton with filling out the application form. He was sure to show respect to all of the residents who had concerns. Speaking with everyone working in the office has given me comfort that this is a good place to live!

I was calling around to get a tour to look at apartments for my friend before she moves here. It was late in the evening and every place I called said they weren't doing tours because they were about to close. I called the Piedmont and spoke with Will and told him my situation and he was able to accommodate me on a tour if I could arrive by 6. I got there a few minutes after and he was still there waiting and showed me the model unit. The model was very nice and property looked cleaned. Will had great energy and made the tour fun for me and my friend I had on video chat. My friend is going to call Piedmont her new home and I can't wait to come and visit and get in the pool.

Stayed here from 2018-2022. They had a glitchy parcel package room & were slow to fix the A/C leak but were quick with everything else and had great amenities. The dog park was nice and they had affordable garages to rent(I rented one for my hot rod). Overall it was a great apartment for me & my puppy and I recommend them.

Overall I really enjoyed living here. The community is friendly and the leasing office has worked with me on a couple noise complaints. The place is well kept and maintained and typically maintenance requests are fulfilled in reasonable time. I'm not sure where all these complaints of pests are coming from, I see a roach maybe once in awhile but that's pretty typical for living near some wood-like terrain. Honestly there isn't much they can actually do about that. My only complaint I really have is the communication and organization of the leasing office. When I renewed my lease for 2022 it was took me many calls and visits to get my new lease set up, at the time I chalked it up as new management taking over. But for 2023 I let them know I'd be staying but repeatedly again had to call and visit the leasing office to get my lease sent to me to sign. Currently I am in the process of breaking my lease and gave them my notice (due to moving out of state for a promotion not anything this place did) and was told I'd be seeing the charges in the rent portal for it but still haven't seen any, hopefully It's not turning into another communication issue. BUT if you're thinking about moving here, I would recommend it to anyone! I lived here for over 4 years and was going on to 5 because of how happy I was with living here.

I looked at several apartments before moving to Charlotte and they all started to run together and then I came across the Piedmont . Not only was it a beautiful community but I actually had fun on my tour Sonya showed me around and I was quite impressed the built-in office is an extra bonus especially with the work from home situations I was also able to meet the property manager Austin who seems like a fun-loving guy and loves his job. Moving can be quite a headache and to my surprise they had a nice move-in package set up with drinks tissue paper towels and snacks to make our move in a little easier.

🗣 Listen if you go to the Piedmont, look for Sonia Kinard! When I tell you she will make it happen every time! She works hard and goes above and beyond. As a Florida transplant, she put me on to the best restaurants, places to visit in the area, and she even helped me find a school for my son. When I moved in she walked me through and even left capri suns in the fridge as a welcome home to my son. Any problems I’ve ever had, she absolutely has taken care of! I have been at The Piedmont for a year now and must say I really enjoy the community! It is very diverse, and I enjoy the relationships I've built with a few of my neighbors. There was a management change that has made an enormous difference; the new management really cares about the residents in the community and shows constant efforts to make this property a better place! They are prompt and efficient. I also appreciate the initiatives to keep the community clean such as power washing our walkways and taking care of landscaping. Austin, the property manager, is easily available and is very hands-on with the community as well. I really enjoy the pool, which is very clean with lots of seating. One day I enjoyed a crab boil while soaking up some sun! I also enjoy the gym, which is a nice size, full of equipment that is very well kept. Additionally, there is a lot of walking area near the community if you enjoy exercising. If you are looking for a community that is 7 minutes away from a target, with a Starbucks nearby, lots of food options, and things to do, The Piedmont is a great choice!

I have lived here since November of 2021! There were management issues when I had first gotten there but the new owners are making so much progress. Whenever I have a maintenance issue it is address within 24 hours or at minimum followed up with. The previous owners had made a mess of everything. So the new owners have a lot to fix but you see the progress. Although there was a mail issue that was quite annoying, it happened as a result of the previous owners so there is no harm done by the new owners. The community is peaceful, neighbors mind their business, hasn’t been any rowdiness beyond the occasional car enjoying their music. Mail issue is fixed and they have package boxes that help secure your packages. If I were you I’d give it a chance despite all the reviews. I also don’t have any pest issues, but it could have to do with being on the third floor.

From the moment that I entered the property and leasing office a few weeks ago, I knew that I had found my new home. I was greeted by Ms. Elda and she has been AMAZING up to this moment. She was thorough with her knowledge of the property and made the application process easy, quick, and most of all, pleasurable! I was interested in a 2 bedroom for extra space but the size of the 1 bedroom was PERFECT for the space that I needed so I opted for the 1 bdrm (and saved a few bucks)... I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my new home! I had to pop into the front office a few times and EACH & EVERY one of the ladies there filled the room with warmth & pleasantry EVERYTIME! The Apartment complex has turned around since we've moved in. At this time with the Pandemic going on a lot of the amenities aren't able to use after hours. But that's not their fault. That would our governors orders. When I come from work, I come home and if something is wrong I contact the leasing office. They get to the problem the best they can ASAP. A Girl named Jennifer helps me to understand what is going on. She has a friendly voice and great customer service skills. This is a great place to live! All of my neighbors on my floor are always considerate of each other. The best part about this place is the Pool in the summer time!

I have lived here for about 6 months, right before the transition to the new management. It was weird at first, but learning about how hard they are trying to make this complex more like a home and inviting as well as making sure your work orders are fixed is great. The leasing office is always nice to my boyfriend and I and Lauren has amazing customer service. This was my first apartment after graduating college and I also love how pet friendly it is. Obviously as an apartment complex you won't always get what you want, but they really try their best to work with you on any issue you have and try to find the best solutions for all parties involved.

I have been here for over a year and have waited to put up a review to give a good comprehensive view point. I give this place 5 stars because of new management. Crystal is amazing and Marquise is extremely professional, courteous and timely! The old management wasn't bad. We personally did not have any issues, however the professionalism of this place has drastically increased since Bell took over. I have seen the reviews on here, especially regarding new management, and I have to say they are not all completely accurate. Crystal for example is very personal, which I can not say that about the old property manager. For example, my washer machine has been broke for over 2 weeks which sounds bad. However I went to the office and spoke with Crystal (property manager). She talked to me for 30min and kindly and patiently explained what was happening. In a nut shell Bell (The new company) inherited a mess. There were over 500 emergency work orders that were not touched. And that's just the emergencies. She explained that she hated to see that I have been waiting that long but also stated that the staff is limited and they are working diligently to handle bigger issues such as people not having A.C. or thier toilets not working. She also said they have been working hard to get more workers to finish out the work orders, which they start next week, AND she made a way for me to have temporary solution that's work out great for me and my wife until our washer machine's new parts arrive. The new management has had to replace roofs due to damage, cut down trees that were over grown and causing issues and they removed gates that never worked which caused several issues with people getting into thier homes. There a lot of issues that Bell inherited but they are doing a GREAT JOB handling each issue! For them to only be here 3 months, it's short of amazing to see how much has changed. Crystal doesn't just rush through the problems. She solves them in a way so that it never comes back up again. This is a beautiful property that now has great management. If anybody has any issue they really should speak with the employees in the office because they will MAKE a way for issue to be resolved! I literally would recommend anybody to stay here. I am very excited to see what else Bell has in store for this place!

Changing my review again because the new management team has really done a great job turning the property around. My main concern after moving in was losing the gates, but after seeing the improvements made to major projects around the property coupled with consistently great customer service from both Lauren and Kiara, I truly feel they care about their residents. I am hopeful the progress and updates will continue in the amenity spaces as well because they have good bones and I would use them more if they were better maintained! While the grounds have improved tremendously, I do think the breeze ways could use some more monitoring. It is frustrating to comply with valet trash rules when my neighbors do not. There has been a broken mirror across from my door for weeks now.

I recently moved into the apartments at Piedmont at Ivy Meadow and I have to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience thus far. Stephanie was the staff member that assisted me ans she did an exceptional job. I came in to view the apartments on a busy Saturday. I was looking to apply for the apartments but I was a little unsure. Stephanie was very professional as she assisted me and others. The service, along with the beautiful community, was all I needed to know that I had to apply for this to be my new home. I applied and I was approved! Living in the community has been very nice. It is conveniently located to all of my favorite places in the university area and it is over all very welcoming from staff to residents! I am satisfied with my new home!

They are very nice apartments! The interior is very modern and well arranged. Sometimes there are maintenance issues (some that connect with others) but maintenance staff is very friendly and on time. The leasing agents are not the best though. They have very poor communication skills amongst each other and usually have poor attitudes. Overall, a 4/5 stars for the Piedmont. I have lived here for a year and I did renew for next year as well!

I honestly don't know why some people are complaining. The place is great, a little bit on expensive side, but when it comes with a seperate study, and washer/dryer combo it's not a bad deal. The grounds are well kept. For the guy complaining about the bugs, welcome to the south, we have them. As for the train, yeah its loud but you get used to it. The community is nice and very good with dogs. The gym is better then most I've seen, the treadmills are not broken just beat up due to being used so harshly by some tenets, but the weight area is great. I have been living here for 9 months and I have had no problems with break ins with my car or apartment. Being only a mile from campus is great since its only a 3 min. drive to get to campus or in the other direction to get to harris teeters, a lowes, and some good restaurants.

I've been living here for 2 years now, and have never had an issue that was out of the ordinary. The front office staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the maintenance team is responsive and personable. The quality of the apartments is immaculate, as they have recently renovated all of the apartments with track lighting, wood floor laminates, granite looking counter tops, brushed stainless fixtures....etc. The pricing per month isn't bad, especially since they are newly renovated AND come with washer/dryer already installed. The pool area is awesome and there are monthly events hosted by the management or external companies. My ONLY CON for this complex, which isn't necessarily directed towards the management...is that there are a few "illegal" dog breeds living on site. Now, I don't have a problem with pitbulls, and used to own one many years ago (she was a sweetheart), but when my girlfriend/roommate is out jogging and a pitbull randomly jumps at her because some moron college kid didn't have it on a leash.....that's when it is a problem. Other than that, this place is awesome....and even though very close to the UNCC campus, it's pretty quiet. I've never had any noise issues and I've lived in 2 separate buildings so far. +1 from me.
